The Go language was introduced by Google in late 2009. These notes refer to Go 1, released in March 2012.

Gogo is a primitive IDE (basically a text editor with some add-ons, such as running the compiler and the code formatter.). It is probably best for beginners - it is easy to use, and easy to configure.
