Strumming

Strumming looks easy, and it is, but not at first. You can use a plectrum (also called a pick) or your hand.

You should be relaxed. Moat of the movement comes from your elbow, and your hand moves a little bit.

At first, don't worry about chords - stick to a simple one, like Em.

We can use D for a down strum, and U for an up strum. Example:
